Featuring a clipless body mounting system, this truck allows for secure and fast one-handed removal and installation of the sleek, aerodynamic body. The reinforced inner cage and external rollover protection ensure long life and Traxxas-Tough™ durability, while the all-terrain tires provide exceptional grip on any surface. With its race-style wing and upgraded heavy-duty components, including strengthened C-hubs and axle carriers, the Rustler 4x4 VXL is built to handle extreme off-road conditions while delivering unmatched performance.
Chassis, Drivetrain & Suspension
Equipped with a low-CG chassis, the Rustler 4x4 VXL ensures responsive handling and improved stability, even at higher speeds. The modular composite tub design and latching battery hold-down make maintenance and battery swaps quick and hassle-free. Maxx-duty driveshafts and sealed steel gear differentials provide maximum strength and reliability, while the heavy-duty slipper clutch with aluminum pads ensures smooth power delivery to the wheels. With adjustable toe and camber links, impact-resistant suspension arms, and oil-filled Ultra Shocks, the Rustler 4x4 VXL delivers exceptional performance on any terrain, from rough trails to high-speed tracks.
Electronics
The Rustler 4x4 VXL is powered by Traxxas' Velineon brushless motor and VXL-3S™ waterproof electronic speed control, delivering exhilarating speed and acceleration. The Velineon motor features ultra high-temperature sintered Neodymium magnets and efficient ball bearings for maximum power and efficiency. Paired with the Traxxas Stability Management system, which improves straight-line acceleration and braking on low-traction surfaces, the Rustler 4x4 VXL offers unmatched control and precision. The TQi™ 2.4 GHz High Output Radio System ensures reliable and responsive control, allowing drivers to push the limits of performance with confidence.
